Extra Teeth Issue One LAUNCH

  • Custom Lane 1 Customs Wharf EH6 6AL UK (map)

Pulling out all the stops for the launch of Scotland's newest literary magazine - Readings, bagels, booze, merch & more...

We could not be more psyched to celebrate the launch of Extra Teeth: and you're all invited!!

A new literary magazine full of words that bite, Extra Teeth is the Scottish mag we've have all been waiting for! It's a magazine with an international outlook, featuring the best new writing in Scotland and beyond, committed to diversity and inclusivity, fair pay for contributors, amazing design and supporting small businesses.

Issue One is illustrated by Maria Stoian and contains a dozen original pieces of edgy fiction and nonfiction, including new work by Leila Aboulela, Kirsty Logan, Dave Coates and Jess Brough.

After a successful Kickstarter campaign over the summer, it's a fresh new publication and we can't wait to party!

Join us on the Shore in Leith at Custom Lane, one of Edinburgh's coolest event spaces, for an evening of readings, music and mingling, catered by Bross Bagels.

We'll be there with as many copies of Extra Teeth and as much merch as we can carry. This will be the first opportunity to see and buy the magazine, so we hope you'll join us for this unique opportunity to welcome a brilliant new project into the world!

The event is free but booking your place is essential!

Book Tickets via Eventbrite

Keep your eyes peeled on this listing and social media (@ExtraTeethMag) for announcements about who'll be reading on the night...

This event is free and the magazine made possible thanks to Extra Teeth kickstarter supporters and sponsors - Lighthouse Bookshop, who are hosting the event, as well as Bross Bagels & the terrific humans at Allander Print, who made it possible to print it all so beautifully, and in Edinburgh itself!

The venue is wheelchair accessible (we're still waiting to confirm accessibility of the toilets), we'll be using microphones for the readings, and though the event is largely standing there will be seating available, which you can reserve in advance.
